(1) Nobody likes the sound of their own voice. (2) I always find that over a 6 week trip to the US, I come home with a slight American accent. It disappears in about a fortnight. (3) I like all American accents. Somehow they seem to fit the zeitgeist of wherever they are. I love a Nu Yoik accent ( not to be confused with a Jersey accent), it sits well with their chutzpah, and Southern accents are like a lullaby (sung by a good ole boy). Love 'em.

Whilst American accents seem to be less extreme thru the filter of television, one Australian accent on an American tv show sounds very abrupt and harsh

The English developed the English language and the US has tried hard to murder it. I find most US accents very grating. You may not think you have an accent and it is quite annoying. Have a listen to Joel at itsjps. He barely has any accent. I was born in Australia and have never been overseas. On a number of occasions I have been told that I must be from the UK.

The one American accent that gets to me is the from, "The Nanny" or the Janice character from "Friends", other than that is just the same as hearing as other accents. Hardest accent to understand is a very strong Scottish accent.

Yes it isn't cheap, i watch American videos on finance - Dave Ramsey and I think wow prices there are so cheap! Someone said they had $140k for a house and i was like wait what? They only live in Australia so that was a fudged up thing Hollywood thought that fool you guys with.

I love all American accents, I grew up watching American Movies from John Wayne to Gone with the Wind, yes I can listen to an American accent all day.

Alot of people forget or just don't bother visiting Western Australia, why i don't know as it has alot to offer and we are beautiful, because of the size of Western Australia it does take longer to see everything but its more than worth it when you see what we truly do have here from the south to the far north is spectacular and breathtaking beaches let's knot forget that ⛱ ❤ .

Americans can be very loud ! If you’re at the airport you can always hear the American talking ! But we hear it all the time over here on Tv ect but sometime it can grind on you depending on what’s being said and how!

Rare to find food anywhere that looks like the pictures in the advertising. However American food chains generally suck compared to Australia. As said previously the local takeaway shop mostly have far better burgers than any of the major chains. Plus you can still get battered savs, steak sandwiches, chiko rolls, potato scallops, etc. and a small chips is still bigger than a large fries from maccas.
